There is no doubt true love is one of the most valuable things in a person’s life. Love is what you share with someone and how you want them to feel about you. Yet, it does not happen overnight; instead, it grows gradually as time goes by.

The Bible has much to say about love between man and woman. Most people have a different idea of love until they find that they are in love; then, they know exactly what love is, although they may have additional terms to express it. Now I will list 17 Bible verses about true love between man and woman.

1 Corinthians 13:7 – Love requires sacrifice.

Love bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things.

Love bears all things, love is being selfless, and love requires sacrifice without regret. Amid all tribulation or affliction, a man or woman in love will take each other no matter what they face.

Love demonstrates tolerance for one another’s faults. Love sees the good rather than the bad in others and hopes for the best. Love endures the faults of others and believes in one another’s grandeur.

Genesis 2:18 – There is love where there is togetherness.

Then the Lord God said, “It is not good that the man should be alone; I will make him a helper fit for him.”

God created a woman out of Adam out of love for humanity after observing that man being alone was not a good thing.

God mainly created a woman from man for oneness and connection. There is love where there is togetherness, and there is togetherness when there is love.

Genesis 2:24 – Spouses need each other.

Therefore a man shall leave his father and his mother and hold fast to his wife, and they shall become one flesh.

For two different people to be one, there must be love; when there’s love, togetherness and oneness is possible. A man needs a woman, and a woman needs a man so there can help themselves.

Ephesians 4:31-32 – God’s show of love.

Let all bitterness and wrath and anger and clamor and slander be put away from you, along with all malice. Be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, as God in Christ forgave you.

God showed His love by giving out His son Jesus Christ to die for the sin of man, even when we sinned against him and destroyed His laws and commandments, yet He still had to send His son to save us from sin so that we may have abundant life.

As Christians, hatred shouldn’t be found among us; we should love people ourselves. In the same way, you can’t deprive ya self food; you shouldn’t deprive another.

1 John 4:16 – Love comprises all the good things in life.

So we have come to know and to believe the love that God has for us. God is love, and whoever abides in love abides in God, and God abides in him.

Proverbs 31:10 – A woman who fears the Lord is far better than gold.

1 Peter 3:7 – Couples are equals.

A saying goes thus, “a woman needs love and care rather than understanding” love is seen to be a deep affection one has for another. In the case of marriage being a union, the husband has to show care and respect.

A woman should be seen as a prototype in society and for his husband and shouldn’t be treated discourteously as this would disrespect his household. Even Christ loved the church (us) and gave his life for us as a ransom.

As Christ shows to his brethren, the exemplary life denotes that husbands do the same to their wives.

Proverbs 18:22 – We were not created to be alone.

He who finds a wife finds a good thing and obtains favor from the Lord.

God placed a curse on anyone whose generation will end with him; God instructed man to go into the world, multiply, rule, and take charge. This can only happen when a man and a woman become one.

Just one person was created at the beginning of creation, called Adam. God saw that Adam was lonely and had no one to help him; God saw that it wasn’t good enough that men should be alone; he created a woman out of His ribs and made her a helper to the man.

Genesis 1:27 – Out of love, God created us.

So God created man in his own image, in the image of God he created him; male and female he created them.

Out of love, God created us in His image and likeness; God never used a word to bring us to existence like other creatures; he created man in His shape and made us behave and think like Him,

Philippians 4:8 – There is no profit in the things of the flesh.

As Christians, what we think can affect us negatively or positively, our thought should be on something above, a Christ-like idea, not things of the flesh, for the things of the flesh profited not but will bring pains and sorrows at last.

God expects us always to be mindful of our thoughts; love helps one to think rightly and to be optimistic about others; it makes one not envy others in order not to plan or think evil of others.

1 Corinthians 6:18 – Our body is the temple of the Lord.

Flee from sexual immorality. Every other sin a person commits is outside the body, but the sexually immoral person sins against his own body.

God had made us understand that our body is the temple of the Lord; God gave out His word and instructed us never for a man to have sexual intercourse with a woman except they’re married.

God created us in His image and likeness. So any action God disapproves that is taken to the body He made is a sin.

God created sex for pleasure but was meant for the married, who must become one and United so it won’t be misused, which can lead to depression or abortion.

1 Peter 2:9 – We were created for a purpose.

But you are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people for his own possession, that you may proclaim the excellencies of him who called you out of darkness into his marvelous light.

God had and has a plan for His people, created every one of us for a purpose, and His goal for us is good and not evil.

God had chosen us, those who love and respect; He had made us a priest over nations to take charge of the world and proclaim His good deeds.
