In as much as we have a heavenly father who cares about us and our well-being. God expects us to take good care of our physical, spiritual, mental, financial, etc

It takes wisdom to know how to love yourself and others. Without understanding, you find yourself doing things that will lead you to pain and regret.

We have no choice but to love because he loved us first. There is no reason not to love yourself and others when God made the first move.

God expects us to confess and repent from sins genuinely then he will forgive us. However, it does take God to forgive our sins and shortcomings.
But the major problems most believers face are not about God forgiving them but how they can forgive themselves and forget what they have done.
Many believers are still held down by one sin or wrong they committed several years ago. God has told us that he has forgiven how sins, so why do we hold back things God has forgiven and forgotten.
