Faith. It can be hard to have faith when things don’t go our way. Especially when we’re going through a hard time like losing a job, friend, or dealing with an illness. Sometimes we want to rip out our hair and scream, “WHY?!”. So these Bible verses about God carrying us through hard times come in handy. These scriptures remind us that God is with us even when the world around us is falling apart.
What does the Bible say about trusting God during challenging times?
The Bible also says that God uses painful experiences to take us to new levels in our walk with Him (Hebrews 12:11). During these times, we learn to trust God more than we ever have.
Trust is an act of will. We choose to put our faith in God even when everything around us seems to be falling apart. Trusting God means letting go of all control and letting God be in charge. It means choosing His will over ours, even if it means going through something painful or difficult on this earth.
These scripture passages from 21 different books will encourage you during hard times. They all tell us that God has given us a strong spirit, and he is capable of helping us when we need him most.
Bible verse about God carrying us through hard times
We don’t like to think about bad things happening in our lives, and we certainly don’t want to think about God allowing them to happen. But the truth is that God is still there with us even when bad things happen. He doesn’t take away the hurt but carries us through it and ensures we are prepared to handle whatever life throws us. So here are Bible verses of God bringing us through hard times.
Matthew 11:28-30 – Jesus is ready to bear our burdens.
“Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.”
Jesus is ready to bear our burdens, aware that all experience difficult times. The difficult times, however, can occasionally be too much for us to handle alone. When that happens, we must pray to God.
God is always with us and helps us get through difficult times. When we are weak, He gives us power, and when we are in pain, He gives us comfort. He is our friend, our shield, and our protector.
Know that God is with you no matter what you are going through. He won’t ever abandon you or leave you. He is still by your side even in your most challenging time. Even during the most trying times, he will see you through if you have faith in him. Continue to put your trust in him, and he will reward you.
Proverbs 3:5-6 – Trusting and Obeying God.
Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight.
Trusting in God can be challenging, especially when we feel stuck in a difficult situation. But the Bible tells us that He will direct our paths if we trust Him. So how can we do that?
First, we must believe He is who He says He is. Then, we must surrender our lives to Him, trusting He knows what’s best for us. Then, we need to be patient, waiting on His timing. And, we need to be obedient in doing what He tells us to do, whether it feels good or not.
If we keep trusting and obeying God as long as it takes, one day soon, He’ll carry us through our hard times and show us how much better off we are!
Isaiah 41:10 – Do not be afraid or dismayed.
So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God.
I will strengthen you and help you;
What does it mean to have God carry us through hard times? It means that He will never leave us or forsake us. He will be with us always, even when things are tough. He will help us and give us strength when we need it most.
So when life gets tough, remember that God is carrying you through it all. Pray for Him to strengthen you and give you the courage to continue.
Isaiah 41:13 – God is your helper.
For I am the Lord your God who takes hold of your right hand
and says to you, Do not fear; I will help you.
God calls us and tells us not to be afraid. When we allow fear to rule, we turn our attention away from Him and His promises. God gives us various reasons in just one passage of Scripture, as we can see above because he will help us in our hard times.
The Bible explains how His love for us will keep us safe. God will never leave your side and will support you no matter what. So have faith and trust in Him; He will help you through difficult times. There is no love like God’s love that we can experience here on earth.
He would always be there for us when we wanted to give up or were unsure of what to do next.
Ecclesiastes 3:1 – Hard times don’t last forever.
There is a time for everything, and a season for every activity under the heavens:
God has planned out the times and seasons. He has planned out every day of our lives and knows how many hairs there are on our heads. We frequently assume that we know what is best for ourselves and humanity, and our ideas are commonly reflected in our prayers.
However, our hearts’ desires and urgent requests to the Lord may clash with God’s greater desire and destiny for us. Therefore, God’s judgment must be trusted because He bestows blessings on us during the hard times.
Matthew 19:26 – With God, all things are possible.
Jesus looked at them and said, “With man this is impossible, but with God all things are possible.”
God accomplished the impossible task of obtaining our eternal salvation. Therefore, one can only look to Him and rely on Him alone to achieve the impossible mission that may weigh one down during hard times and lead a godly life in their strength. Salvation is not possible through human means, but thanks to God, it is possible through Him.
Jesus wants us to give all our possessions to the needy and follow Him, He may sometimes test us with challenging moments, but that should not be enough for you to give up. Instead, we must recognize our spiritual poverty and the riches that result from putting our faith in Christ.
Philippians 4:4-7 – Prayers with thanksgiving.
Rejoice in the Lord always. I will say it again: Rejoice! Let your gentleness be evident to all. The Lord is near. Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.
Thanksgiving is one of the little ways to show how grateful you are to God for all he has done during good, bad, and hard times. It is a time to thank God for all the good in our lives and to make requests for things we want in the coming season.
It can be easy to dwell on the negative when times get tough. However, it’s important to remember that everything will eventually work out. So don’t be anxious about anything – the universe has a way of taking care of everything. Just focus on taking one step at a time, and everything will fall into place.
Isaiah 40:11 – Protection during hard times.
He tends his flock like a shepherd: He gathers the lambs in his arms
and carries them close to his heart; He gently leads those that have young.
God is always with us, protecting us and ensuring we don’t have to deal with too many strong temptations. We can rely on him to support us no matter what because he holds us close to his heart.
God is always there to give us the strength to get through whatever we experience or difficulties. Remember always to pray and thank Him for His infinite grace and love.
Isaiah 63:9 Divine Love and Mercy.
In all their distress he too was distressed, and the angel of his presence saved them. In his love and mercy he redeemed them, He lifted them up and carried them all the days of old.
When we’re in trouble, God sends angels to help us. He always loves us and has an excellent plan for us. No matter what life throws our way, we can always count on God’s love and support. Even during the most challenging times, God never leaves us alone. He is always with us, providing comfort and reassurance.
No matter how bad our circumstances may seem, God’s love never fails. His presence in our lives always helps us to see the light at the end of the tunnel. His love enables us to find hope and strength when most demanding.
Psalm 91:11-12 – God is on your side through hard times.
For he will command his angels concerning you to guard you in all your ways; they will lift you up in their hands, so that you will not strike your foot against a stone.
It’s simple to forget that God is with us through hard times. And that’s where scripture comes in. Psalm 91 reminds us that whoever is a child of God is protected and covered. No matter what happens, God is always with us, as Psalm 91 reminds us. He won’t ever abandon or depart from us. Knowing God is on our side even when everything around us is against us gives us comfort.
Reading scripture and remembering God is with us when we’re struggling can be beneficial. He is our refuge and fortress as far as we put our trust. We can take comfort in knowing that even when the world is against us, God is still on our side. So when the going gets tough, remember that God is with you.
Deuteronomy 32:11 – Hoping in God during hard times.
As an eagle that stirs up her nest, that flutters over her young, He spread abroad His wings and He took them, He bore them on His pinions.
Deuteronomy 32 :11
There are times in life when everything seems to be going wrong. We might be dealing with hard times, financial difficulties, or overburdened. Maintaining hope that things will eventually improve during these times can be challenging. But that is precisely what will take place. We can face our challenges with hope and confidence because everything will turn out for the best.
Even though it may not seem like it now, everything is moving in the direction of a big plan. Everything that occurs in our lives follows a pattern that God designed. God is working for our ultimate good and is aware of our needs.
Bible verses about God seeing us through hard times
The Bible describes hard times as a sign that God is with us. Amid such suffering, it can be challenging to find solace, but we can have faith in the fact that God is with us. We can be confident that God works in our lives and will see us through even the darkest days.
1 Peter 1 6-7
In this you rejoice, though now for a little while, if necessary, you have been grieved by various trials, so that the tested genuineness of your faith—more precious than gold that perishes though it is tested by fire—may be found to result in praise and glory and honor at the revelation of Jesus Christ.
1 Peter 1 6-7
We may face many different hardships in our lives, but God will never leave us alone during any of them. Instead, he carries us through these challenging times to help us grow more robust and mature in our faith, which ultimately helps us become better followers of Him.
Although many factors outside our control contribute to challenging times, we can still decide to live our lives for God. Knowing that he is navigating these challenges to produce a positive outcome gives us comfort. We can also pray for direction and wisdom to live by his will.
The Lord is a refuge for the oppressed, a stronghold in times of trouble. Those who know your name trust in you, for you, Lord, have never forsaken those who seek you.
This passage reminds us of God’s love toward us when he encounters hard times. In trying times, it’s easy to feel hopeless. It can be extremely stressful to make ends meet, worry about our loved ones, and feel lost.
But there is hope if we fix our gaze on God and trust him. God always finds a way to improve the worst situations, and in trying times, he can support us, especially those who call on him.
And my God will meet all your needs according to the riches of his glory in Christ Jesus.
Remember that God is with you no matter what challenges life throws your way. He will support you through everything and can meet all our needs when we are faced with hard times, and when it’s all over, you’ll be relieved that you survived.
Though many people may feel alone and alone in hard times, God has never left us alone. In fact, according to the Bible, God is always with us and will meet all of our needs according to his riches in Christ Jesus.
You are my hiding place; you will protect me from trouble and surround me with songs of deliverance. I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go; I will counsel you with my loving eye on you.
God is always with us, and the psalmist declares in the Bible that God is his hiding place, where he is not bothered or worried about the hard times. Feeling alone and helpless when dealing with trying circumstances can be simple. However, the Bible assures us that God never leaves us alone.
Because God has always been dependable to us, we can trust him in our difficult circumstances. We can rely on him to act in our best interests even when we don’t understand what is happening. In the same way as the psalmist, we can rely on God and know that he will support us. We can keep in mind that God has always been there for us and that he will remain so even when we are unable to perceive him.
“The LORD is my rock, my fortress and my deliverer; my God is my rock, in whom I take refuge, my shield and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold.”
Your needs will be met by God’s word when you trust. The Christian faith makes this promise. We can always count on God to be there for us and to provide for our needs because he is our fortress and delivers us when troubled, especially during challenging and hard times. This promise is genuine because it is founded on the reality of God’s character.
God is different from people. The limitations of our bodies do not constrain him. Instead, he always provides for our needs in a way that fulfills both his and our needs, and because of this, we can rely on him to meet our needs in the future. Furthermore, we can count on him to care for us no matter what because he is our shield and refuge.
“The Lord gives strength to his people; the Lord blesses his people with peace.”
The book of Psalms is very encouraging to read during hard times. The Lord is not only present in every circumstance of every difficulty we face, but He also recognizes those that belong to Him.
David could rejoice that God will continue to strengthen His people and bless them with His perfect peace that passes all comprehension as he thought about the mighty wisdom of God and how He had guarded His forefathers in earlier times.
The Lord is aware of His people, but it is up to them to get to know Him and put their faith in His mighty acts of power.
“Do not fear them, for the Lord your God is the one fighting for you.”
God participates in our problems when we follow his commands and obey his words. He assists us in resolving all of our problems. He must have faith in him to recognize his powerful influence in our lives.
Who could be against us if God is for us? There’s nothing to worry about if God is on your side. In this world, we have nothing to be afraid of. Future events are nothing to be concerned about. In the end, we fear God. And since we fear Him, we have no other fears.
1 Peter 5:7
Casting all your anxieties on him, because he cares for you.
1 Peter 5:7
Peter cautioned us to resist the devil, be sober-minded, and humble ourselves. He instructs us to cast our worries on God. This is because God is concerned about us. God, who has complete knowledge of us, exists.
He is perfectly aware and loves his children. He is ready to respond to our prayers, extend mercy after we confess, and provide comfort when we are in need. If we only ask, He will undoubtedly bear our burdens. So don’t bring your worries back whenever you face challenging times because God sees us.
For I consider that the sufferings of this present time are not worth comparing with the glory that is to be revealed to us.
The world in which we currently reside in a fallen one; it is a place of sufferings and trials, as well as a time of heartaches and issues; it is a world marked by challenges and hard times, as well as a period marked by disappointments and death.
But Romans 8:18 urges us to lift our eyes and fix our gaze on Jesus and “the glory that is to be revealed to us,” rather than on what suffering in this world is doing to us. Instead, we tend to cling to the Lord during difficult times, pleading with Him in prayers and petitions and staying very close to protecting His wings.
“He who dwells in the shelter of the Most High will abide in the shadow of the Almighty. I will say to the LORD, ‘My refuge and my fortress, My God, in whom I trust!
You must realize that the scripture makes it clear from the outset who God will protect if you want to experience the kind of protection that Psalm 91 speaks of. Though God can give shelter to anyone He chooses, those who consistently live a life in close relationship with God will be given special consideration. God’s promise to watch over them allows them to live in peace, calmness, and security.
We constantly seek out the Most High’s love, consolation, and protection because we dwell in His secret place. God will shield those who seek a deeper and more intimate relationship with God. Contrast that with those who don’t lead godly lives. They put their lives in danger and endure needless suffering.
